Not a Christmas Carol

I was just going through those cards and notes you gave me
You remember what you wrote on the Christmas card?
You wrote "It's our first Christmas together,"
And you gave me my guardian bear
It's crazy because on the next Christmas
You broke my heart
And then I felt my heart bruise.
I'm writing this poem about you,
It will probably see the light of day.
I just want you to know,
Every Christmas from now on is going to be dedicated to you,
My one and only.
I will never forget this Christmas card.
