Appendix: The Kaypros

Many were the virtues of the Osborne 1, but its tiny screen caused no end
of grief. So, a company in California introduced the Kaypro, a comparable
product with a 9-inch screen. By late 1984 the Kaypro had usurped
Osborne's position as the standard Z-80 CP/M luggable. Bundled with plenty of
industry-standard CP/M productivity software, the Kaypros were an outstanding value.
Later on, advanced versions were developed. Model 10 had a 10Mb hard disk.
Model 16 abandoned CP/M for DOS.
