Not bad though there is some artefacting and slight shimmering in the transfer. The print has the odd white dot/nick. These aren't as frequent as in some other dvds but as this is a new film, it's one dot too many..
Audio - 6/10 (8/10 for the Mandarin tracks)
A mixed bag. The 5.1 mixes are actually pretty good and probably one of the best mixes i've heard on a HK dvd. However both Mandarin tracks are louder, clearer and more dynamic than the Cantonese language tracks. Depending on what language you prefer to watch the film in this is may or may not be annoying. All tracks are in synch. If you don't have a 5.1 setup the 2.0 soundtracks are adequate.
Extras - 2/10
The usual crap. The trailer is actually quite boring. The additional trailer is for Wong Kar Wai's 'In the mood for Love'. The print looks a bit rough but the movie itself looks like a cracker. The databank is a waste of space, since you might as well just read the back of the dvd cover.
Overall - 5/10
A fine dvd, so long as you don't spend a lot of money on it.
