The DVD has a very good picture quality, no noticeable artifacts or serious pixelisation. The print used has hardly any scratches too. The colours do seem to be a little overly bright however. Widescreen.

Shot in Synch sound Cantonese, the audio is decent enough, though again the 5.1 mix is merely average. Why do they bother? Michael Wong's voice, and the fact that he sounds like his balls haven't drop yet don't help us believe his role as a SDU commander. Ok so I'm jealous of his good looks, but at least my voice has broken : )

English dub is there and is a nice addition. Unfortunately Michael Wong's voice can still be heard The only way to escape it is to watch the film with the Mandarin soundtrack playing (I'll stop with the tirade against his voice now. Hehe

The usual cast/credit bios are there but these are joined by a bio on the SDU! It's actually very detailed and even goes into the equipment they use while on the job. This movie takes its subject very seriously. Trailers are there and are good quality - good films too. There are two making of documentaries, one in English and one in Chinese (un-subtitled) however they're both different. The un-subtitled docu is much better than the English one so it's a shame if you don't speak Cantonese. There is one person speaking English on the docu but it's Michael Wong.

The Music video is good and features the film's score along with a montage of bits from the movie. Would have made a good trailer.

A very good DVD, it has everything you could want: good picture, good sound and decent extras. However I'm still annoyed at the making of docu - I mean - how hard would it have been to put subtitles?
