The China area for Vacation Bible School was outstanding! They were loaned some beautiful Chinese ink paintings to dress up the area. I really tried to get an 'oriental' feel to the lettering to do it justice. (The Chinese characters spell 'chung kuo', "middle kingdom", the Chinese name for their country. Got them from a children's beginning book on Oriental calligraphy)

Again I used Sakura pigment pens--Microns and Brush pens to do this. Based on an idea in "Lettering and Liking It" (p13)
