Scrapbooking is one of the fastest growing hobbies of the
1990's. Americans love taking photographs and keeping mementos of important
occasions. Millions of photographs are taken of
That's a lot of memories that need organization and proper display. Everyone
has something special they want to remember or share with others--even
businesses produce scrapbooks to highlight their new products or special
services.
Sooo...have you got lots of photos stored in shoeboxes in the closet, under
the bed, stuffed away in various nooks and crannies? Most of us do. And most
of us tell ourselves that we really intend to organize them "one of these
days." (One person told me she stores them this way for a while and then
usually ends up throwing them away when she's tired of looking at the boxes!
Is that an example of "throwing the baby out with the bathwater" or what?)
Actually, if you have them stored this way, they may be safer than if they are
in an older "regular" photo album! Time and the elements can be very
destructive to these precious things.
Believe it or not, organizing and displaying your photos can be done.
And it can be done in an interesting and attractive way that you can be proud
of. Not only that--your photos should last much longer since they will be
stored and displayed in a non-destructive manner. If this sounds like it's
right up your alley, then this site is a good place to start. Check through
the various pages to learn more. And for those of you who are already hooked,
please pass on your information and experience!
