thanks for all your letters. let's get the boring stuff out the way first. nitzer ebb have no control over anything released by j. mcdonald, p.o.v.c., blue august music publishing. the band have not had any contact with the above since autumn 1987, well, only through legal letters, so we'd appreciate your support on this one, if you know what we mean, for example the so called compilation album certainly did not have the band's consent. previous information addresses are now void. the video for hearts and minds was completed with help from two local fans, chris and simon, who had very little notice, so thanks a lot. the video is due to be shown on snub tv bbc2 on the 6 february 1989. it's a groovy video and while we're on that subject, now we have four videos perhaps we can get them compiled and out for you to buy? the tour has actually started here in britain and so far douglas has managed to forget his shorts in manchester, so thanks to r. haswell for his help there! missed a personal appearance at small wonder records in kingston due to the extraction of his upper wisdom teeth, had to have his body paint done twice during the h and m video, probably because he liked it so much and finally he did a bit of bodily harm to some people at the front of the new marquee gig, for which he is very sorry, so, europe be warned! both julian and douglas are very clumsy, bon isn't so he gets to laugh at them. jeremy has taken on the job of selling our merchandise on this tour so be good to him, no chocolate money thank you! the german copy of belief has a black on silver wrap around and it should be silver on black, so that's a collectors piece, and i expect some of you will want the japanese copy of belief because it has the most tracks on it, all versions of control and k.i.a. (cd only)

on stage the band use tapes and akai s 900, 2 floor toms, 1 snare and a metal sheet with c-ducers, if the band took computers on tour the information stored would be exactly the same as that on tape, absolutely nothing would be any different, same quality etc. hearts and minds has been put out on 7" but only as a radio edit so get it if you can. there may be a personal appearance at gry records in copenhagen during the tour. the band started in 1983. bon's birthday is 12 august and douglas is 1 september. we may be able to start a phone update service if you want it enough, further information only through fan club ..... yes, finally a fan club, listen up subscription numbers 1 - 500 will be open until the end of april 89. only 500 people will be allowed so that we can maintain a good service for you, if you don't get in this time we will be opening the numbers again later in the year, when we can handle it. all letters will be answered but obviously we must give some priority to club members. so what do you get for your #12.00? ...... membership card giving 10% off all merchandise except shirts. four newsletters through the twelve months plus stickers and poster for two new releases, new photo and very limited edition badge/button. all designs by s. granger, this is the basic offer, extras will probably occur. first 500 names with cheques that don't bounce will be members from may 1 1989 until april 30 1990. send name cheque and large self addressed envelope to us at the address below. mark your envelope with a large red spot. now the tour dates:
