Should Nitzer Ebb have hired Flood?

: Yes, well, let us not forget about the many bands who produce their own
: albums. Hiring flood might be exceptable for the first few releases, but
: a band with Nitzerebb's experience has no excuse.

Personally, I prefer it when a band produces their own album. After all,
a good bit of the songwriting process is undertaken by aforementioned
position, especially concerning those minor details which give songs their
individual flavor. If, however, you are going to hire an outside
producer, it is even more pathetic to blame or even allow the
procrastination of a release due to the producer's absence.

Nitzerebb is displayed in even more disfavor when you keep in mind that
they hired Flood‹the mother of all electronic music producers‹to do work
on their album. Essentially, Flood is a miracle worker, ‹listen to what
he did with those shitty "Pretty Hate Machine" demos‹ and the fact that a
band with Nitzerebb's experience in composing and performing EBM had to
rely on Flood is sad indeed.
