Corvette. As long as I can remember the word Corvette has stood for
performance and for many, like me, the automotive American Dream. After
waiting most of my life I finally had the opportunity to see what America's
sports car, Corvette, was all about.

In late February of 2002 I placed an order for a 2002 Corvette C5 Coupe. I
opted for the, new for 2002 color, Electron Blue with Light Gray leather
interior.

I also checked off most every option available. This was my first Corvette
and I was going to get exactly what I wanted.

The standard Corvette LS1 engine is a 5.7 liter, 350 cubic inch, 350 hp, OHV
V8. With a 0-60 time of 4.5 secs and a top speed of 175 mph, the performance
is more than adequate for me. So, for now, mods to the engine are not in
the immediate future.

The options on my C5 are:
(1SC) package. Includes: Dual Zone auto a/c, Fog Lamps, Luggage Shade
and Parcel Net, Memory Package, Sport Seats, Power Passenger Seat,
Twilight Sentinel, Electrochromic Mirrors, Head Up Display and Power
Telescoping & Manual Tilt Steering Column.

(MXO) 4-Speed Automatic (standard equipment)( 6-speed manual optional)
(QF5) High Polished, Forged, Aluminum Wheels. 17" front, 18" rear
(G92) Performance Ratio Axle, 3.15
(B84) Body Side Moldings
(Z51) Performance Handling Package. Includes: power steering
cooler, stiffer springs, larger stabilizer bars and enhanced shock valving.
(U1S) 12 Disc CD Changer
(C2L) Dual Roof Package. Includes: blue transparent roof panel and solid,
body colored panel.
