Health Issues

Pets are a wonderful addition to a family. They offer unconditional love and companionship. And just  like any other member of the family, they sometimes feel sick and require medical attention.  Vaccinations and regular check ups  keep your pets safe. Many illnesses can be detected and treated early with regular visits to the vet.  Your pets depend on you!
Many times a medical problem is mistaken as a behavioral problem.  Urinating in the house can indicate a bladder infection or stones.  Excessive scratching can indicate a food allergy and is often mistaken for fleas.  Always have your pet checked if a new behavior becomes an issue. If it is not a medical problem, your vet can offer advice on the best way to prevent the behavior from becoming a habit.
This site offers three pages of information  & links about pet health.   It is our intent to share with the viewer,  information on the issues we have experienced with our own pets as well as direct the viewer to helpful links on the internet.  Remeber that the internet is a useful tool for research but it CANNOT replace the expert care that your vet can provide.
