Why is Earthbound better than other RPGs |
I told you why I like Earthbound, but what makes it a great RPG? Is it because of Graphics...? Simple but effective, but I don't think so. How about stats...? Nope. How about the battles...? Nice mode 7 backgrounds and cool PSI effects, but 2-D unanimated enemies, in that case strike 3. What I beleave makes EB one of the best RPG, if not the best I've played is the gameplay. Great story, simple controls, fast paced, a tad easy, but the major thing is it's just plain fun to play. I've probably beat the game 10 or more times, and I've just recently started NEW games. But alot of other games have that ability as well, so what else stands out to make EB the "best" RPG of all time? How about the shear wackyness of the game, every thing is wacky, the characters, the dialogue, and the world it takes place in. Lastly, alot of the things I said in my other Editorial, "Why do I like Earthbound?" are reasons that EB takes the cake as far as RPGs go.
