Brisbane North to the Whitsunday's

Going North
We departed from Scarborough Yacht Club for Moololaba on 17 June and arrived at 15.40 hrs and enjoyed the YC and did some minor maintenance lots of walking and set sail on 22 June for the Wide Bay bar, a treacherous piece of water, we were accompanied by Follow the Sun, Nankeen and Supa Nova 2 after departing at 0345 hrs to get the tide right at the Bar, we stayed overnight at Pelican Bay

Off to Garry's Anchorage in the Strait and the next day onto King Fisher Resort a great place for Yachties to relax, then onto to Urangan a really bustling NEW resort., then onto Bundaberg, where we once lived for 5 years arriving there on 27 June.

We caught with our old friend Rod who manufactures the famous Jabiru light aircraft in Bundaberg and we flew up to Pancake to check out our next port of call.

Approaches to Pancake
We departed for Pancake on 2 July and overnighted in comfort with the yacht Follow the Sun and off in the morning to Gladstone and caught up with John on Conda's Mate and tried to go up the passage but tides were not suitable, by the way from Brisbane Julie and myself did all the sailing. we departed for the Keppels on 5 July and the following morning on to Island Head where we stayed for 2 nights. (no fish)
