My family hails mainly from Georgia for as long as anyone can remember. Other parts are in Ohio, Alabama & California. I currently reside in Jackson, MS but will soon be returning to either Georgia or Central Texas. I am the fifth first born woman on my mother's side & have no doubt that my first child will be a girl as well. I was lucky in that I had the chance to know my great-grandparents while growing up. I have hazy memories of my great-granddad since he died when I was around 5 or 6. My great-grandmomma lived until she was 94, dying the summer before my senior year of high school. She is the reason why I believe I am well-grounded & old-fashioned. *warm smile* She engrained wisdom, strength, dignity, pride & respect deep into my heart & soul through her undying & all-enveloping love. She is also the reason why Valentine's Day is my favorite holiday (she was born February 14) and I *LOVE* roses (she had yellow, white, red & then-rare blue roses planted in the garden).

My grandmother (mom's mom) was the one who encouraged my enjoyment of reading & learning. She also taught me the meaning of hard work & making time for those she loved. She taught me to be self-reliant, self-supportive & deep self-understanding. In my heart I will always be her Princess, even though we are far apart.

My Marriage....

My husband is a mutt!! *grins* He's part Irish/Native American/Swedish & something else. He has red-brown hair, brown eyes, fair skin; stands 5'11 with broad shoulders & a gentle soul. We are from two totally different backgrounds, it's a wonder we even met much less got married. But what we do share far outweighs all the differences. We love cats, going to the beach, swimming, picnics, talking all night long, SciFi, space & so on. He's slowly working his own way through college & I support him every step of the way. He is my soul mate & soul friend, my first true love & lover. He has seen into the darkest corners of my soul, the brightest windows of my heart... And loves me even more than I ever thought possible.
