Updates
March 17, 2003 - The anniversary of the show's cancellation is coming up in May, and some fans are taking the opportunity to renew efforts to convince TPTB to bring the show back. There might be a chance, given how quickly the show that replaced DA, Firefly, was cancelled. See the following website for more info:

August 25, 2002 - I have not heard any encouraging news all summer regarding a third season of Dark Angel. In fact, FOX has basically ignored all the fans' efforts and refuses to comment on the show's cancellation. Jessica Alba, Michael Weatherly, and the rest of the cast have moved on to other projects. It looks unlikely to me that DA will ever return, unfortunately.

IMPORTANT
When you contact FOX and Cameron, be sure to be civil and stay positive. Emphasize why you love Dark Angel, discuss the show's unique characteristics, and why you believe it is a quality program deserving of a second chance. As of now, the best chance seems to be that it could return as a mid-season replacement, or that Dark Angel movies would be made. Snail mail is more effective and highly considered because more effort goes into it than email. Lobbying to have DA return as a midseason replacement is one track to take besides telling them how upset you are about the cancellation.
When writing snail mail, there are a couple options:
1) Mail barcodes to FOX with a letter
- You can generate barcodes at The Barcode Mill
- You can cut barcodes off any product you buy in stores
- Draw your own!
2) Mail postcards to FOX
- Examples of postcards are available at the Dark Angel Nation site above
Letters and envelopes of barcodes may not be opened by the studio, however, so I would recommend postcards - that way they can't miss your message. If you do mail barcodes, mark the envelope clearly with something like, "Save Dark Angel Barcode Campaign."
