Once the winter chill faded into an almost spring, we bundled up our twins and headed for the playground. They've never been on a slide before and it was exciting for them. Even though the sun was out, it was still a bit chilly, with cold temperatures threatening to come out toward the evening. So we didn't stay too long, but gave them enough time to run around the swings and kick some wood chips. Our son didn't like going down the slide by himself, but enjoyed it immensely when I slid with him. Our wild girl didn't have any problems blasting down the slide by herself. She was having a ball! After that day, we made a habit of going to different playgrounds around us. They got bored of the 'kiddie' slides really fast and are now seasoned sliders on the big slides; going down tube slides that spiral, bumping down slides with waves, and even slides that they've got to climb up, up, and up to get to. |
