The second day of our trip was very short, and in the photo above, we are docking and mentally prepareing for what we expect will be a difficult time before lifting the canoe on to the truck.
Lifting that huge 600lb canoe on to the trailer wasn't nearly as difficult as it seemed to be, and we accomplished it in short order.
Unfortuantly for us, our van (which made strange booming noises when travelling faster than 80km/h) broke down on the side of the 401. Some really nice parents came out at 9pm on a Sunday night to rescue us from the rest station over 100km from home.
