His name is Ma Jing Tao.In Cantonese his name spells "power",meaning Ma King Tou,like waves.
A very nice name indeed.

And he has been around for ages.I first saw him in Green Green Grass By The River,which was
the serial that made him famous.And he was very famous,and still is.He has a good looking
face,and a very nice voice,which explains why he could be famous.And he could act,though in 
subsequent series,he tends to overact until,well he would throw everything within his sight.
I do believe,the actors were actually afraid of him,how then can they have that look of pure
terror in their face which looked so real?

Anyway,I was indeed surprised when I saw him as a good guy,Fong Ho Sang in the
immensely popular ATV serial,The Good Old Days,opposite Chan Sau Man and Lam
Wai San.He was very very good in there,and his acting was surprisingly controlled.
There was a rimour that the director told him not to overact too much.Of course,in HK
nobody overacts but almost everybody underacts.

Where was I?Oh yes,his role in that serial was supposed to die in like a few episodes.
But because everybody liked him so much,they prolonged the character's life until,well
until the end.It was quite a good show but was extremely long,like 100 episodes,way
before ATE was ever ATE.

He also played an extremely violent man,opposite Liu Xue Hua and Jing Ming in Xue Ker.He was
horrible,not as to his acting but as to the character he portrayed,and yes,over-acting.

I saw him recently in The Legendary Swordsman with the every beautiful Fann Wong.The
show was horrible,he was tolerable but Fann Wong was good.

He has been known and is famous for his arrogance.Even Chan Sau Man fought with him,
and until today,they still refused to talk to each other.I really do think it was some
publicity stunt.

And a few months ago,he went on the Super Sunday show,looking for his long lost mentor.
There was some misunderstanding,and they have not talked since.He wanted to apologise 
but he did not know how,so he went on that show,and when the mentor and him talked
over the phone,you would realise as time passes,so do misunderstandings.Quite a 
gentleman,though some still say he is arrogant.

You can see him in Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow and I am sure,he has some other show
about to be broadcast.My feelings towards him is neutral,though I have two friends,one
saying how much she loves him,and even calls him Taiwan's  Prince Charming,and another
said that his acting is weird,and he loves to rub his chest a lot.True.

But whatever anyone might say,he is still here and has a very strong fan base,thanks in part
to Green Green Grass By The River.But I still feel nothing great for him.And I do think,he is too 
thin for a man.And he looks pale too.

By the way,if I am not mistaken,he has a child from a previous marriage.Someone once told me
to be a top actor in Taiwan,you gotta be divorced with a child or two.How true.

Why is he here?He was He Shi Wei in Green Green Grass By The River,whilst Yue Ling was Qing
Qing.Need I say more?
