AN OBSESSED PERSON

The sad condition into which this obsessed man was driven
is shown on the left. He is encircled by spirits of the Inferior Astral transfigured into
the most varied forms and shapes. Vice and vile emotions are always magnets for the
attraction of obsessor spirits. To ward them off there is only one way and that is to
change those emotions and overcome vice. In other words, the individual will have to
depend on himself, and on the help of others who are enlightened, never solely on other's
efforts. |

Another view of the atmosphere surrounding an obsessed
man (insane) who is endowed with clairvoyant mediumnity. Not all the insane are
clairvoyant mediums. However, they have a more or less developed, undisciplined (though
untrained) power of incorporation and as a result suffer what is shown above. Obsessed
individuals at times have fits of fury in their efforts to free themselves from these
terrible influences of the Inferior Astral. |

This illustration shows the struggle of an obsessed man
to free himself, during a fit of fury. The black balls represent spirits of the Inferior
Astral. Four, three or even two well-meaning individuals who are familiar with rationalist
methods, are enough to free an obsessed individual from the influence of the inferior
spirits. Their power of irradiation to the Superior Forces is quickly felt and helps clean
the environment. Those people, through the action of thought, harmonize with the Whole,
and thus establish a connection with highly enlightened spirits thereby forming a current
that attracts the disturbing spirits to their own worlds. Such obsessor spirits, engulfed
in the darkness of their miseries, cause a lot of harm to individuals who are unaware of
the phenomena of incorporeal life. |

Another illustration of the anguish of an obsessed man
troubled by an obsessing phalanx. The hideous figures seen on the left emerge before his
frightened eyes, as if they were corporeal, not fluidic, and thus make him believe that he
needs to defend himself from their attacks. He tries to evade the threatening blows,
thereby becoming still more disturbed. However, through the formation of a Christian
Rationalist fluidic current around the obsessed person, all obsessor spirits are dragged
away by the Superior Astral to their own worlds. There they are enlightened and do not
descend to Earth again except to reincarnate in order to resume evolution, which stagnated
due to improper use of their free will. |
|
|
|

|
|
As the obsessed man is indoctrinated in the rationalist
principles, he gradually begins to realize what was happening to him and becomes less and
less excited by incorporeal visions. He begins to change his former ways of thinking and
starts his mental retraining and the strengthening of his will. He is then on the way to
recovery and to a new life. |
|
|
|

|
|
Whenever the obsessed person still feels unable to free
himself from evil influences, those who are in sound psychic conditions to perform astral
cleansing must intervene. As soon as the fluidic current is established all such evil
influences are removed by the Superior Astral and disappear. So long as complete recovery
is not achieved, thorough enlightenment of the obsessed patient, he will be subject to new
evil influences. This explains why recovery is sometimes slow. |

|

|
|
The same patient in the final stage of disobsession, and
already able to react against evil influences. Now he only feels the physical
after-effects of the state of disturbance undergone by him. Two sound-minded individuals
start him on irradiation training. The persevering practice or irradiation, in accordance
with Christian Rationalist discipline, is a safeguard for him. By doing so he will avoid
becoming obsessed again, and he will be a useful member of the community.

Fully recovered, the individual endeavours to improve his
knowledge by reading, studying and meditating, in order to make the best possible use of
life. Living intelligently is harder that it appears to be. But one can learn to live
intelligently, as long as he tries to enlighten himself and adhere to the rules of order,
discipline and evolution. The code of Christian Rationalist principles is within
everyone's reach. It will enable everyone to learn, reason and outline living norms in
accordance with these principles, and consequently stay away from miseries, disturbance
and vice. |
