Downey is a new resident to ELA. She was found being loaded on a slaughter truck, living what might have been her last few hours. I immediately pulled over and had to save what souls I could. Many of the horses were Champion Race Horses and excellent Broodmares but they would only allow two to be rescued. Immediately Downey and her lifelong friend Windy Sonny caught my attention. Both looking like they were only youngsters but to my surprise after long research were 10+ years. I still took the two, to try and give them a better life. They now only go to halter shows every now and then and live in a large 15 acre pasture as broodmares along with the other retired horses residing at ELA. We look to produce some excellent Race Horse offspring from Downey.

Downey will be up for brood in 2004. Her fee will be $750 when bred to a proven Stock horse or Thoroughbred stallion, or $1000 when bred to an unproven Stock horse or Throughbred or any other breed stallion. She is also up for lease for embryo transfers for a fee of $500. All fees can change without notice at any given time.
