boil it or steam it (as in Rice)
pop it (as in Popcorn, Popped Wheat, Popped Rice)
make processed Cereal
make Pancakes
make Noodles
make Dumplings (as in Jiaozi, Gnocchi)
make Polenta

White Rice vs. Brown Rice
Asians love their white rice - even though they know that it has less fiber, vitamins, and minerals compared to brown rice.
Asians still love their white rice, because:
People like white - white is seen as pure, white is good.
People are used to the taste of white rice (brown rice is stronger in taste).
People don't want to change, even if it means healthier food and healthier life.
White rice was what rich people used to eat - brown rice was eaten by the poor and during wartimes.
However, now, white rice is much cheaper than brown rice (supply and demand).
White rice is kind of like cigarrettes - Asians know that they should stop, but they can't (won't). It's addiction!
White rice can, at its worst, even contribute to causing diabetes, because eating large amounts of it only results in lots of starch sugars and fast
absorption, causing quick rise of blood sugar levels. Brown rice is digested more slowly, and is also used sometimes as a cure for
constipation. The bad things about brown rice is that it is more expensive, cooked differently (most rice cookers don't know what to
do with brown rice), and spoils faster than white rice.
