Okay. I must admit that Gus and Felicity are my favorite couple in Avonlea. Gus and
Felicity had to overcome pride, parental opposition, rivialry, jealousy, family problems,
a shipwreck, and blindness--but they did to triumph in the end.
First meeting--On the lawn at King Farm. Felicity has been embarrassed by Felix and
screams that everyone is horrid and runs inside. Gus just looks smitten.
Gus' most romantic gesture--Letting everyone believe he is dead so Felicity won't be burdened taking
care of a blind man. Other romantic getures--Giving Felicity his ruby ring and
not expecting a commitment from her.
Felicity's most romantic gesture--Going all the way to the Carolinas to find Gus
(without any proof that he was alive). Other romantic gestures--Tidying Gus'
house. Cooking for him. Proposing to Gus as he recovers from surgery.
