What we do

Past lesson notes

The youth meet weekly after worship service. Classes are geared towords today's kids and the leadreship is focused on helping them to see how and why the Bible is so important for their lives in this day in age.

Messages, lessons and devotionals are delivered in an interactive style that lets the kids see, hands-on, that we are living in dangerous times - but life through Jesus Christ is the key to walking through these times successfully.

We also put together activities throughout the year along with fellowship with the youth in other area churches. We are currently trying to organize and plan a trip over the summer as well as some outreach programs.

We would love to have you come out and see what's going on at our mid-week meetings ...visitors are always welcome!!

Worship!
We began and will continue discussing the importance of worship in your Christian walk. How does worship bless you, heal you, help you and strengthen you. These will be some of the topics.

Go to the
Crossroads Worship page for Bible verses dealing with worship.

Every Action Demands a Reaction
We have to react to the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Bible gives us three examples of how people reacted to this event...

1) Matthew 27:11-24 -- Pilate "washes his hands" of crucifixtion of Jesus.

Why? he's releasing himself from his own guilt - he didn't want to have to answer to the crowds so he took the easy way out. Sound familliar??

2) Luke 23:35-36 -- The crowds "mock" Jesus

How do we do this? By involving ourselves with the sins that Jesus died for. We view certain tv shows, movies and laugh at off-color jokes. Would we laugh at these things at the foot of the cross??

3) Luke 23:44-47 -- The soldier at the cross "bows down and praises God"

Why? The soldier's reaction to Jesus' death was to bow down and worship the Heavenly Father because he believed that Jesus was the Son of God. This is how we need to react more often -- PRAISE GOD!

Stop washing your hands - do what He asks of you.

Don't mock Him by laughing at things He died for.

Believe and praise Him today for loving you enough to die for you!!!
