Can you...? (Synesthetic Love)
(November 12, 2000)

Can you taste the passion
I have for you in my heart?
It is bittersweet
And quite piquant, my love.

Can you smell the letters
I write to you by moonlight?
Fragrant shimmers, like
Night blooming cereus.

Can you see the kisses
I bestow upon your lips?
Ever-expanding
Explosions of stardust.

Can you hear my embrace?
The rich chimes of my embrace?
Dulcet melodies
Gathered into a song.

Oh, can you feel the words
Tender I whisper to you?
Shy like mimosa
Soft like silk 'neath your hands.
