Rain God (August 1, 2000)
The stomach of the Rain God, Hollowed all, growled and rumbled. Will his search never cease? Find him naught of the great feast?
Dun droplets fell 'pon the sod: Urgent tears with sweat mingled. Slay him the Hunger Beast? He is harrowed with craving!
Brandish now his lightning rod: Struck the earth as he stumbled. The god woke the evening, Filled the night sky with maroon.
'Tis the pain of the Rain God-- A sadder tale's ne'er been told. Hope he finds his grail soon. Hope he finds his grail soon. |
