We start the first of our pics in this series by taking a look at the very symbol of metropolitan

London, at the heart of the once majestic British empire - The Big Ben & Parliament House.

We've always seen it on television and pictures, but the first time we set eyes on these

national monuments, we were really impressed by its size, grandeur and significance. Sitting

magnificently by the river Thames, these structures have formed the epicentre of the British

government for hundreds of years. Simply awe-inspiring!
