This interesting costume is an Indonesian inspired one which we picked from the

whole collection of costumes that was available to us. We agreed that we

would each pick one which would closely tie us to our roots, and hence I chose

this Javanese one as I myself am Javanese by descent. Ironically, I had just bought

the 'songkok' or Malay hat and thus decided that it would fit nicely with the occasion.
