*We had 15 members attend the March meeting this month.

*Martina Ruetten brought in books for the Public Health Office. A motion was brought before the members and passed, to provide Martina with $20.00 to help purchase books for this program. To help Marilyn Stroman, Martina volunteered to chair this committee for one year. If you have any children's books that you would like to donate to the Auxiliary, please contact Martina.

*70 newsletters were sent out last month. And 20 were transmitted by e-mail. Corrections to March newsletter: Marcia Phillips chaired theYearly Donation Committee and Mary McNary did not win a 50/50 raffle at the January dinner. New address to deliver the news: balduf@adelphia.net

FLOOD VICTIMS UPDATE: Georgia Schmitt and Ila Walker visited the two families the Auxiliary is sponsoring.

Ms. Hayden expected to move into her new home around March 18th. The Auxiliary will buy her sheets and towels.

Mr. Sidney Terry recieved $6,000 from FEMA for his flood damage and the Auxiliary gave him a certificate for building supplies from a local builders supply store worth $250.00.

The Yearly Donations Committee recommended that a committee be appointed every year to review the donations as things can quickly change in a year's time. Last year's donations totaled $960.00. It was felt that this years recommended donations, with seven new recipients, would not strain the Auxiliary accounts at $910.00. Kolleen Youker commended the committee on an excellent job and presentation. She made a motion that we adopt the 17 donations as presented by the committee and that the Auxiliary establishes a committee to review the donations yearly. Mary McNary seconded and the motion carried. Thanks to Carol Disbennett, Shelley Pomeroy and Martina Ruetten for working with Marcia on the committee.

The Pot Pie Dinner was another huge success. The dinner, bake sale and 50/50 raffle brought $408.55 into the Auxiliary. Congratulations to CWO (AMC) Don Campbell who won the 50/50 raffle. Thanks go out to Margaret Evans for heading this fundraiser.

The completed Lighthouse Platter was presented and displayed by Marcia Phillips. This platter will be the Elizabeth City Auxiliaries donation for the National Fund Raising Raffle. Everyone commented on how beautiful it turned out.
