HOT AIR BALLOON RIDE
The hot air balloon ride was the way that permitted man for the
first time in the history to carry out the yearned dream of flying. It was then
and still continues to be, a magical and peaceful experience, that we guarantee you will never forget. Balloons didn’t developed as a system
of transportation because they could not be directed. They always fly at mercy of the wind, and this singular
characteristic is one that gives them their magic and romantic charm.
The current balloons started to develop after World War II. They have become an extraordinarily sure way of flying, because they don't have mechanic elements that could fail. Besides, they are built of highly specialized materials.
THE BALLOON
The balloons in which we fly are made at an English factory, manufactured under the Cameron signature. They fulfill all the legal requirements that mark the General Address of Civil Aeronautic: registration, card of aeronavegability, safety policy for passengers, operation permission and the pilot commercial license.
PASSENGERS
One balloon has the capacity for three adult passengers, or two adults and two children with a total weight that doesn't exceed 200 [kg]. Not counting the pilot. The other balloon has the capacity for six people, not to exceed 420 [kg].
LODGING
It’s included in the package. Price based on two to a room in the Hotel Don Ale, in Tenancingo.
FLIGHT SCHEDULE
Because of technical reasons the balloons fly at dawn when the atmosphere is cold and still hasn’t formed the thermal currents. For this reason the ballons take off between 6:45 and 7:30 in the morning. Flights last from 45 to 60 minutes.
WHAT TO TAKE
Another pair of shoes and a set of clothes (sneakers or boots, jeans, a long sleeve shirt or sweater in case you are chilly) just in order to fly. Because the flight takes place out in the field, your clothes will become dusty and perhaps covered with mud.
DON´T FORGET
A photographic camera and /or video camera with enough films and batteries. You are allowed to take pictures and film the process of inflating, the whole flight and until the balloon is completely down. Two hours approximately.
PROGRAM
6: 30 am. We leave the hotel
6: 45 am. search the right place for take off according to the wind.
7: 15 am inflating operations begins.
7: 45 am. take off for the first flight
8: 45 am. landing
8: 55 am. take off for the second flight
9: 55 am. landing and keeping operations of balloon
10: 25 am. toast with Champagne and return to the hotel
COST
The cost of the package is of 180 dollars per person; the payment will be made in advance. It includes, lodging, the flight in a hot air balloon, breakfast after the flight and toast with champagne. As well as an optional cross-country cycling journey in the surroundings.
RESERVATIONS
We recommend you to make the reservation 6 weeks before the departure or 3 months before when special dates like birthday’s or anniversaries that fall on weekends or holidays.
A reservation remains confirmed only if it is paid in advance.
CHANGES
Date of flight will only be changed if you let us know with 17 days of advance before the departure date.
CANCELLATIONS
A full refund of the payment if the cancellation is made 30 days prior to the flight .
After this date only 50% of the payment will be refunded.
FLIGHT CANCELLATIONS BECAUSE OF THE COMPANY
A flight will be canceled without previous warning because of the following reasons: technical, maintenance, weather conditions, and illness of the pilot or mechanical problems of the vehicle that follows the balloon. In any of these cases, we will confirm a new reservation for a future flight.
It is obligation of the passengers upon hiring the flight to notify us of any medical affliction that they suffer, as well as their exact weight.
NOTE: THE BALLOON WILL NOT TAKE OFF IN FEBRUARY AND MARCH SINCE THESE ARE WINDY SEASONS.
