East River Apprenticeshop launches the Dory- a 16 ft oak and cedar, build by NYC HS students. The Urban Divers hosted an ecocruise of the Newtown Creek on the Gowanus Monitor II, also presented a video exhibit of underwater images of what lives along the Estuary. The River Project was also present with a touch tank and educational information about the Hudson Estuary west of Manhattan. The Metropolitain Waterfront Alliance co host of event help with logistics. The Riverkeepers also shared information about the creek. Coucilman David Yasky was the honorary guest speaker. Rocking the Boat and Floating the Apple provided roaring tours on their long boats. Erashop also provided roaring opportunities on their 12 oar gig boat "Felicite". Newtown Creek Kayak Club were presenet, other orgs present NY Restoration Project and many more.
