11. No-Cost Legal Advice for Not-for-Profits
As a not-for profit organization, you may have legal questions but lack
the financial resources to compensate legal counsel. Pro Bono student
volunteers from the Faculty of Law, University of Western Ontario, have
the skills to research your legal issues. Even better, the service is
offered at no cost. With guidelines from a lawyer-mentor, law students
volunteer their time to complete legal research projects during the
academic year.
Project requests for 2003-04 should be submitted to the Law School by
July 10, 2003. For more information contact John Norton, Coordinator,
Pro Bono Students Canada at law.probono@uwo.ca,or call 661-2111 ext 81195.
