The path of the past.

The history of the Mystra world is complex. This is an attempt to make it somewhat easier to digest. Here is a brief history of the country of Karameikos.

For other histories, you will have to check other countries as (and when) I get a chance to upload them.

BC 2,000 : The ancient empire of Blackmoor is destroyed. The planet shifts on it's axis. BC 1,500: The ancient Nithians rise to power, some legends suggest their relationship with the ancient Traladar. BC 1,000: The Traladaran tribes are united by a tribal cheif known as Halav. Within the year they are attack by a race known only as the 'Beastmen'. They are defeated by the Traladarans at the expense of Halavs life. He is later raised from the dead by his queen Petra. BC 900: Halav, Petra and Zirchev leave the Traladarans. The kings left alone to rule Traladara gradually decline, and tribal chieftens reestablish their rule. BC 500 : The Nithians are wiped from the planet by their gods for their crimes, this ends all of their tales. AC 0: The Traladarans begin a period of regrowth. The treaty of leaves is signed with the Calari elves, and the Dwarves establish Highforge. AC 400: The village of Marlinev becomes the trade capital of Traladara. The Marlinev clan gains political power and the first Traladaran king in almost a thousand years is crowned, however without all of the clans giving their full support. The song of Halav is penned by scribes for the first time. AC 900: The Empire of Thyatis conquers Marlinev. The invasion is led by Wilheim Von Hendrix. Over the next fifty years the rest of Traladara gradually falls. AC 948: Duke Stefan Karameikos is born. AC 970: Duke Stefan Karameikos sells his ancesteral home in the Thyatian empire for sole control of Traladara, which he renames Karameikos. He grants several lords areas of land if thye join him. AC 979: Duke Karameikos marries Lady Oliva Prothemain AC 980: Lady Adriana Karameikos is born. AC 982: Lord Justin Karameikos is born. AC 986: Lord Valen Karameikos is born. AC 1,000: The celebrations of the Thyatian centenuary starts one of the more interesting years. A group of heroes rises up to fight the Red Pentangle. The year ends in the Night of Chaos when the city Kelvin is almost destroyed by Goblin attacks. The Green Plague runs rampent after the attack, till almost one in three people in the city and the surrounding area die from the hideous disease. AC 1,001 Duke Karameikos declares independance from Thyatis to become king, much to the annoyance of some of the lords. A cure for the Green Plague is found. AC 1,002 Present Day, Kelvin attacked by the Dark Elf Bandi-Kist and the Knights of Karameikos are formed. Prince Valen is driven insane due to the actions of Bargle the Infamous. The Church of Karameikos becomes corrupt and is almost destroyed. A civil war ensues between the church and the Barons Kelvin and Penhaligon. The Baronial forces lay seige to Karameikos and force a quick, if devistating victory. Queen Oliva is kidnaped and The King is forced to abdicate his throne. A provisional government is set up to rule in his sted. The future of the Kingdom looks shakey at best.
