Mr. James Wallace Mitchell earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1974.

Mr. Mitchell is a Quality Control Chemistry Supervisor with Bayer Corporation. He has been employed at Bayer for 27 years.

Mr. Mitchell and his wife serve as board members on the East Carolina University Parent’s Council. He and his wife also serve as members of the Ledonia Wright Cultural Center Advisory Board.

Mr. Mitchell met his wife, Angela Sloan Mitchell at East Carolina University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Work in 1974. They have two children, Mrs. Christina Mitchell Rush, a 2001 graduate of East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in English; and Camille Yvonne Mitchell, a rising senior at East Carolina University majoring in Clinical Laboratory Science. As you can see Mr. Mitchell and his family solidly support East Carolina University.
