| Hacienda Pinsaqui is easy to get to whether you are coming from Quito, Otavalo, or another area. The hacienda is located right off of the Pan-American Highway, therefore any bus headed to Ibarra, will pass by its gates. If you are north of Ibarra, just catch a bus headed south towards Otavalo. Also, for your convenience, arrangements can be made in advance with the Pinsaquí staff to have you transported from Quito to the Hacienda. The trip is about an hour and a half traveling by bus. We can also offer you transportation straight from the airport. |

| Hacienda Pinsaqui, first constructed in the year of 1790, this uniquely resorted colonial hacienda was originally a textile workshop, employing at one time 1000 local weavers and spinners. Fabrics woven in Pinsaqui weavers and spinners. Fabrics woven in Pinsaqui were exported to the United States in the late 1800. Among its ilustriuos guests in General Simon Bolivar, who usually spent the night at Hacienda Pinsaqui on his trips back and forth to Bogotá. An important treaty between Colombia and Ecuador was signed at the Hacienda, and much history is stored in its halls. |
