Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 9 to 10 a.m Monday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Ackley spent her childhood in Minotola and was a 35-year resident of Vineland. She was a 1958 graduate of Vineland High School. She lived in Millville for several years. During her life, Mrs. Ackley was a school crossing guard, a Vineland Police dispatcher and a small business owner with her late husband, Willis, who died in 1991. She retired as a bookkeeper at Friendly's Restaurant. She also was a cancer survivor, having had breast cancer in 1979.

She is survived by her mother, Aline Zygmunt of Vineland; two sons, Robert Bolton of Buena and Mark Bolton of Leesburg; a daughter, Deborah Shaud of Vineland; a stepson, Paul Ackley of Millville; a stepdaughter, Deborah Pakosinski of Vineland; three sisters, Dorothy Cobb of Athens, Mich., and Madeline Kinsel and Martha Saul, both of Bridgeton; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Barbetti Funeral Home, 2104 E. Main St., Millville. Burial will be in Port Elizabeth Methodist Cemetery. Viewing will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1400 W. Landis Ave., Vineland, NJ 08360; or to the charity of your choice, because all Mrs. Ackley ever did was give.
