He was born to Daniel W. and Daisy M. (Ackley) Plank in Snowden on October 25, 1907. Mr Plank worked as a projectionist at the Canyon Theater in Bingen for many years. He was very active in the Grange where he attained the status of lifetime member, serving as past Grand Master and secretary. He was also a lifetime member of the Klickitat County Posse Club and a member of the Saddles and Blankets Horse Club. Mr. Plank broadcasted for many playdays for horse clubs and organizations. He also belonged to the Smoky Creek Club which was a group of people who got together frequently camping outside of Trout Lake. He was a man of very broad interests. Mr. Plank is survived by his brother Eldon Plank, Mt. Vernon; nephews Donald and Thomas Plank, both of Mt. Vernon; nieces Joan Craig, Las Vegas, Nev., and Mary Ann Leiberg, El Rito, N.M. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Faye. Private burial will take place at the White Salmon Cemetery. At his request, no public services will be held.
