Polls..
The only thing I can offer right at *this* very second is a few links until I actually post my own stuffs ^^;; the links that I provide should be very helpful though ^-^
Nearly All are incomplete and I was just merely playing around with the idea or concept because I like designing pages! I had a few other ones too, but in the course of time I either deleted/forgot/ or just dont care about, O.o; I started out pretty sad using page makers and homstead *gasp* terrible dark times those were..
Dunno what I am going to do with this yet! it's cute though.
Just a site I got tired with really fast ^^; though I liked the layout..
Another one that I liked the layout and could practically finish it but.. I just don't feel the ..it just didn't work out between me and the page.. ;(

A lil rpg game I downloaded and wanted to see if I could do a nice layout of it.. eh so-so and I *thought* I wanted to finish it but guess not ^^;

One of my first.. if not *the* first site I ever did with html, its finished but not up to my standards in the *now* if you know what I mean o.O?!
One of my moms friends wanted me to make a horse site for them ^^;;; and I wondered if I could make a horse site so there was my small attempt at it... =O
Alrighty then!? *steals my tips from my previous site I didn't like ^^;;;* eh heh less work for me to do!
This section is obviously dedicated to 'html' tips, I'm not actually sure if this will help anybody, or for that fact, if anybody will even look at this page =D! But hey, I need to fill up my pages with something.., or at least I feel I need to ^-^.
Tip One: Scroll bars! They always look better colored... to me anyway, I would rather not see plain old gray ones =X.. maybe thats just me though.. heres the code for coloring scroll bars..
Tip Two: Everyone knows this one... But many people still use BMP's also known as Bitmaps, thats a bad thing! They are oversized pictures that could have been converted to Jpeg or Gif form.. which would take less time to load and just be more efficient! PaintShop Pro, Adobe, Imagoweb, all those programs are easily found and can convert BMP to JPEG etc...
Tip Three: As fun as these can be: Animated Gifs, and some Midi's, Comet Cursors, Hot Bars..etc They aren't good for pages in some cases! I love animated gifs ^-^ But a whole lot of them isn't always fun for people who have to wait for them to load ;(.. Midi's are just fine, but some use stupid programs that automatically install and it can bug people, plus sometimes they take forever to load. COMET CURSORS.. are evil.. they practically install themselves and suck period. It gets really annoying and I'm sure that I am not the only person that thinks so! Hot bars are the same.. they automatically install and I don't use them!
Tip Four: Graphix!! I think the key element to pages is the design, if it doesn't look good then many people probably don't want to look at it. You might offer lots of information, but your site just seems dull!
Tip Five: Don't make your page public until you have completed it! Unless you have a really pretty under construction picture, then most people don't care! =D
Tip Six: Content.. It is always useful to have content.. Lol, you should try and offer as much as you can, but it can be *work* looking for multimedia and other things to post on your page! But thats what makes it fun..?!
Tip Seven: Learn HTML! Never use a stupid Page Builder like the one Geocities or Homestead has offered.. Bleh!, they take a lot longer to load it seems like, plus they just look fake! It just doesn't look right..
Minor Tips: Always check your html, specify what size your site was made for if any, example: 800X600, hotlinking is bad ;( you should just save the item to your computer and upload it to your site!, it's a lot easier believe me =D, you should try and have some sort of color combination that isn't to hard on the eyes..etc
That's it for my tips, I am sure you have heard all of them before, but thats just my take on it..
One goodie for ya! This next script gets rid of Geocities annoying little window pop-ups, it should be the very last thing you put on your page, because it stops all scripting after it basically..
