Vietnam 2000

October 5-22

Ed had been to Vietnam in 1998 for three weeks with James and Graham and explored the Southern part of the country - Saigon, Mekong Delta, Tay Ninh, Dalat & Nha Trang. He had a blast and vowed to return for a look at the rest of the country. Several foiled attempts later he and Jacqui decided that their 8th holiday of 2000 (seriously!) should be spent in Vietnam.

It wasn't quite the month-long trip that was probably needed, it rained almost constantly for the 16 days we were there and it ended up asking more questions than it answered (i.e. we have to go back again and see the stuff we missed!), but despite all that it was 100% worth it. The itinerary was Saigon, Hue, Hoi An, Hanoi, Ha Long Bay & Cat Ba Island and then back to Hanoi for a day trip to the Perfume Pagoda.

Instead of posting the pictures on this website in the usual way we stuck them up on Shutterfly.com in order to get good quality prints made up - they look great BTW. Because they were already up on Shutterfly, it seemed easier to link straight there from here rather than uploading everything again. I hope the new look and feel is to everyone's liking 'cos we'll probably end up making more stuff available this way.

Click on the link below to look at the 'album' of snaps that we took. They're not in any order, but descriptions are displayed next to each shot, so you should always know roughly what you're looking at. You can zoom through them using the slideshow feature, or just click directly on the first picture to see a description as well - you can browse through very easily this way by just clicking on the 'Next>' button. Enjoy.

Go look at the photos!
