About Shar ~

"For several years I have had the personal joy of working alongside Shar Boerema whose winsome personality is disarming.  As we sing praises to God together, Shar gently moves us through times of laughing or weeping.  She sees to it that we do enjoy our God.

As a speaker, I know how significant a role the worship leader can play in setting the climate in which God can speak.  I'm grateful that Shar Boerema is gifted to do just this -- and that I'm on her team!"

"I have known Shar for 4 years now, because we have worked together in Pastors' Wives Conferences across the United States.  We have also scheduled her for six more of these events during the next two years.  Shar is a wonderful musician who loves to pray and sing hymns of faith as well as melodies that teach faith.  She also knows the value of simple choruses that bring people in touch with their response to worship.  She is very adept at blending hymns and choruses in such a way that people seem to move easily between the two.  Her heart is for worship, not performance, and she puts much prayer and planning into each service... I enthusiastically recommend her to you.  I am certain you will not be disappointed in either her spirit or her talent."

H.B. London, Jr., Vice President, Ministry Outreach/Pastoral Ministries, Focus on the Family

"We had the privilege of having Ed and Shar and their family in our fellowship for a number of years.  Shar was very involved in various parts of music ministry during their time here.  She is a very talented vocalist, pianist, organist and worship leader.  In addition to her musical skills she also has, more importantly I might add, a beautiful spirit that is not all wrapped up in her ego.  She is very willing to serve and minister with a sweet and gentle spirit.

We often say the trials either make us bitter or make us better.  Ed and Shar have been through some very trying times with their son Ben.  I believe with all my heart they have allowed God to use those difficult times to truly make them better people and not in any way bitter."

About the albums ~

One of the most coveted comments I've received so far, came from my friend Hilary, who found Christ and a whole new life a few years ago.  "Oh Shar, they're beautiful!" she said in her gorgeous British accent, "you will save souls with these!"

How I pray for that response!  Not just more food for us Christians to feast on.  We have so much.  Rather that they are words of LIFE to those who long to know God and have yet to experience Life.  Please pray with me to that end!

"Shar, I write you now to tell you how much [Audience of One and Priceless Treasures] are blessing my spirit.  Some of [the songs] I haven't heard in years ("Come Ye Disconsolate", "Jesus Priceless Treasure", "In Sweet Communion" etc.)  Oh, what powerful words they contain.  And how they have been shaping and consoling my spirit this afternoon as I listen to them.

Dale Cooper, Chaplain, Calvin College

"Your CD's arrived and how we are enjoying them.  What a feat combining your gifts to produce such beautiful music.  Even composing!  It's hard to believe these are solo productions...it seems that there must be others accompanying you or backing you up.  It's simply amazing.  Congratulations on a tremendous undertaking and accomplishment....God bless you and all your family."

Charlie and Fran Greene

"Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for your ministry.  I've been wanting a worship CD, but just couldn't find what my heart was desiring.  When I listened to [Audience of One] it was exactly what I was looking for.  I feel overwhelmed with God's presence while playing it.  Thanks again, I appreciate your hard work in putting it together!"

Your voice is so lovely and sweet!  The instrumentation is HEAVENLY!  I can't believe you do all that yourself!  WOW!

"Thank you with all my heart for the CD.  It really was like a healing balm to my heart.  I found myself singing, crying and worshipping my Lord as I listened!  Our Lord's perfect timing once again!  I sensed the prayer and care that went along with this CD!  Thank you again and again."

Pam Duprey

"When I ordered [Audience of One]... I was so taken by surprise when I walked into the living room... my dear, sweet 2nd daughter, Natalie (the three year old) was across the room dancing ~ an 'interpretive' type dance ~ to the music.  Her eyes were closed and she was just praising Him with her little life....She did this for more than half the CD.  She still will go over by the window and dance when it's on ~ she asks for it.  She especially likes the "sister song" (as she calls it)... she and her five year old sister have a rough time, bickering a lot but she told me about a sweet relationship with Hanne when I asked her what she thinks about during that song.  God is touching her heart through that song.  THANK YOU.
