Swallow Song |
"Intersection" - Where Jazz meets the songs of one of contemporary music's golden eras of songwriting. Beginning in the mid-1960s an adventurous group of young songwriters began changing the face of American Popular Music. As the songs by The Beatles, Brian Wilson, & Bob Dylan began to permeate radio playlists and record sales, many jazz musicians and aficionados could be heard lamenting the death of quality music. "They don't write songs like they use to" was the often heard refrain from those who heard, but didn't truly listen to the timeless quality of the best songs of that era. On "Intersection" you'll hear that a timeless song, a gifted singer, and straight-ahead jazz still create musical magic.
