Our Philosophy
Our Philosophy is simple, (or is it overblown and pompous?) Comments welcolme.
- We always try to sell the best quality foods.
- We believe that the 'average person' is much better than average, and deserves good food at prices which are generally lower (often much lower) than those of the semi-monopolistic Supermarkets, which have high advertising and overhead costs which you pay for.
- To this end, we avoid middle men and wholesalers, and buy straight from Importers, in bulk sacks and boxes, and pack down at minimal cost, so we can extend these savings to the customer.
- All our foods are either unprocessed, or least possibly processed which adds to i. Nutrition, ii. Flavour. - Contrast this to supermarkets, where many foods are highly processed, de-natured, and over-packaged, adding to cost and detracting from flavour and goodness.
- We don't sell 'standard' size packs -- you get what size you want, from very small to very large.
- We will soon be selling a wide range of organic foods. Contrary to what a well known store at Rosehill would have people believe, they are not much more expensive, when bought judiciously and packed efficiently.
- From May 2000, we will offeer free home delivery (for orders over £12.00) in the Carlisle area. (Contrast this to another well known store in the City centre, who offer free home delivery for orders over £40).
