Chrysogon is the English form of a masculine Greek name, Chrysogonos, meaning “Gold Born.”

History:
Although Chrysogonos is a masculine name and St. Chrysogonos was a man, the name Chrysogon was adopted as a feminine name by post-Renaissance, English parents. Presumably these educated folk liked the etymological meaning. By the 19th century it had disappeared.
