Match 22: Dragon's Reign

Toshiro Hitsugaya                         VS                              Hiei

"We are back with more brutality. I, Jakken will cover all the action for you. Let's get right into the next matchup. Coming from the west gate and one of three from the Bleach universe to make it to round two, he is Captain of Squad Ten, Toshiro Hitsugaya! From the east gate comes the master of darkness and fire, the evil one Hiei!" (Bell)

Hiei:"I've kept an eye on you. You are indeed a formidable opponent and one worthy of my attention so let's dispense with the warm up and get right to the real reason we are here. No holding back." Toshiro:"Agreed. (Draw's sword) Sit upon the frosted heavens, Hyorinmaru!" "Hiei smirks and keeps his sights on Toshiro's blade." Hiei:"Good, now show me the extent of your power, shinigami."

"Toshiro wastes no time in swinging his blade and firing out an ice dragon. Hiei easily avoids its and slashes Toshiro who then ensnares Hiei in the chain at the hilt of his sword. His power starts to freeze Hiei at the ankles. The ice dragon returns back around and freezes the rest of Hiei! This one may be over quicker than I thought. The ice begins to melt at an excelerated pace and finally Hiei breaks free! Toshiro looks puzzled, he really thought he had him." Hiei:"Unfortunately for you, my body is immune to both fire and ice. Try as you might but freezing me is not an option."

"Toshiro backs up then fires out more dragons hoping that it's a bluff but Hiei simply shrugs them off and strikes at Toshiro hard and fast. Lightning quick moves put Hiei on top and forces Toshiro into retreat mode. Hiei stops attacking and creates flames into his hands." Toshiro:"I will not lose, I have one chance for victory. Underestimating me will be your death. Bankai!"

"Toshiro's Bankai form is quite impressive indeed! Huge ice wings and talons on his hands and feet and tail. He takes off into the air and fires ice blasts down. Hiei backflips to dodge every shot then holds his sword in his mouth and shoves his hands to the ground using the flames in his fists to push himself upward. He jets skyward and Toshiro swoops down to strike first. Hiei grips his blade and clashes with the shinigami. Both attacking and slashing quicker than my eyes can keep up with." Toshiro:"Dragon hail flower!" Toshiro rushes forth and stabs Hiei through with excessive force! Ice spreads throughout Hiei's body and may have actually worked this time. He falls fast with the weight of all that ice pulling him down. Hiei's Jagan eye opens and the ice shatters a mere six feet from crashing in the ring. He lands gracefully but Toshiro does not let up. More swipes and a final thrust but Hiei disrupts his mind with the eye which allows him to attempt to cut of Toshiro's head. Toshiro instinctively blocks with his wings. He regains thought and as soon as Hiei comes at him again he activates his Thousand Years Ice Prison locking Hiei into place.

Toshiro takes flight and gets the frozen Hiei into his sight for one final blow. What is that? The ice prison is becoming engulfed in black flames! They shoot upward and begin to melt all the ice in the arena that Toshiro has created thus far. Hiei stands in the middle of it all and Toshiro using all his speed and strength to strike him down. Hiei teleports just in time and Toshiro flies right into the black fire being shot out of a potral that Hiei was hiding and was only seen after he teleported. The fire burns through Toshiro's wings as Hiei closes the portal then rushes at Toshiro while his black flames bind him. Hiei slices his head clean off!

Winner: Hiei!!!!!"
