Match 24: Evil Insanity

Guts                                VS                        Kenpachi Zaraki

"I am Koto and it's time for the final match of round two! Both fighters are as deadly as they come and this promises to be a bloody brawl, not for the faint of heart. First coming from the west entrance is the warrior with a dark past and an even darker heart. Slayer of all that enters his path, Guts! Next, making his way from the east entrance is Captain of squad 11 and one of the toughest warriors in this world or the next, Kenpachi Zaraki!" (Bell)

Kenpachi:"Ahhhh finally someone I can really let loose with. From what I've seen and what I can feel, you are one tough son of a bitch. And the fact that you can stand in the face of my spiritual pressure means this should be fun. Time to knock the rust off this blade finally."

"Guts silently waits for Kenpachi to finish then grips his huge dragon slayer holding that massive blade and yet making it look effortless. This two men are indeed the best of the best when is comes to brutal strength. Guts strikes first but it's quickly matched and blocked by Kenpachi who then nearly tosses Guts backwards. He gets proper foot and clashes with the shinigami again. I'm not sure if Kenpachi is testing him or just playing with his food before eating him alive as it were. Kenpachi forces him back again but not as far this time and Guts clashes with him quicker this time, perhap it is Guts who is doing the testing. He slashes downward but Kenpachi deflects it. Guts then uses that momentum to carry him into a half spin and uses both hands to swing the mighty blade horizontal to cut into Kenpachi's massive chest and Kenpachi doesn't even attempt to block! Even after that forceful blow Zenpachi was not even cut!"

Kenpachi:"Hahahahahahaha maybe I was wrong about you. It seems as though you can't fight on the same level as me so this match is futile after all. If you don't have enough resolve to cut me... YOU DON'T HAVE A CHANCE IN HELL!" Guts:"I have survived the unsurvivable and killed the unkillable. You are no exception. A beast as am I, led to slaughter. One of us will be murdered and one of us will reach a new level of insanity."

"Kenpachi seems moved by that speech and is the first to attack. Guts avoids the first two slashes then blocks the third and tosses a few hands made bombs. They explode under Kenpachi which allows Guts to hit him with the dragon slayer without being repelled. This time he actually cuts him! Guts drops back and admires his handy work while Kenpachi bursts out in laughter. He smiles and returns the attack, carving his blade deep into Gut's chest. Both men letting their wounds drip and keeping their focus on eachother. Guts radiates with more power and leaps fiercely at Kenpachi and hacks away like a beast trying to tear him open. Kenpachi blocks but is pushed back with every strike. Guts continues to pulsate with more power and hits Kenpachi with a deadly blow sending him stumbling back then Guts takes advantage and strikes high slamming into the bone of Kenpachi's shoulder then brutally ripping it free.

Kenpachi again laughs and pulls off his eyepatch that comsumes and holds back a massive part of his power. With it removed, his energy and might expels in hot waves pounding down on everyone in attentance. Guts goes down to one knee then stands slowly. He was clearly not ready for this kind of increase in his enemy's strength. Kenpachi lets out a roar of laughter comparable to the sound of scraping metal. Guts breaks out into a run and strikes while Kenpachi is still on a power high. Guts goes for a quick finish and swings at his neck to cleve Kenpachi's head right off. He hits...... but is shoved back by Kenpachi's overwhelming aura! Impressive indeed.

Kenpachi swings his sword and it cuts Guts from over six feet away! Darkness starts to flow from Guts, more and more as he continues to get sliced and diced by Kenpachi's awesome display of power. Finally Guts blocks then shoves Kenpachi back, he slashes and actually manages to cut him again."

Kenpachi:"Hahaha Your power keeps increasing. I don't know where you were hiding it all but if this keeps up you might just become my equal. Unfortunetly for you I'm too bored to give you the time for that. I'm done playing around."

"Kenpachi rockets at him and slams Guts through the concrete wall of the arena! Guts gets up but Kenpachi grabs him, tossing him to the ground and stabbing at him. Guts is quick to recover and avoids a killer blow. Kenpachi with a downward strok but it's blocked. He puts more pressure on it and slices through Gut's dragon slayer! A stab by Kenpachi but Guts blocks with what's left of his sword. Kenpachi's sword drills though it and penetrates into Gut's neck! Blood pours out as Kenpachi withdrawls the blade. He falls to the ground bleeding from several wounds, this may be it for the mighty warrior. Kenpachi holds his blade overhead and slams it down with great force but somehow it's repeled! Gut's berserker armor starts to glows and his body stands up in a flash. His wounds heal instantly and he lets loose a feral punch breaking through Kenpachi's defenses and sending him to the ground. That armor must be giving him this awesome power. His eyes have the look of pure evil.

Kenpachi doesn't stay down. He attacks and Guts leaves himself wide open for slash after slash then Kenpachi goes in for a stab and pierces him to the hilt of the sword. Guts grabs Kenpachi and the cursed armor begins sucking the life out of him. Kenpachi fights his way out of it then rips his blade out and Guts' sword slowly grows back with this newfound power. One last clash, both men dash forward, blade to blade. It causes a huge explosion and Guts finally with the upper hand rips right through Kenpachi's body! He stands gripping his blade tightly before finally falling harshly to the ground. Winner: Guts!!!!!
