1. Chair: Marion Johnstone took the Chair and outlined the Safety arrangements (Fire) and reminded people to switch off Mobiles.
2. Minutes of last AGM May 2006
· Accuracy: the text referred to 2005 – should be 2006. Apart from that agreed a true record: Proposer – Brian Gippert; Seconder – Liz Young.

Liz Crichton, Health and Safety Officer at Historic Scotland spoke on the challenges and interest in Managing Historic Buildings Safely

FORTH AND TAY DISTRICT
· Going from strength to strength
· TREASURER – Kevin Lloyd presented the annual accounts (appended) and went through them in detail. He thanked the auditors for their (unpaid) work. There were no questions and the accounts were unanimously adopted. Bob Bertram and Ian Murray were re-appointed as auditors.
4. Elections nominations had been received in due time as follows:

· Exec Members – (4 Vacancies) Richard Lovering, Steve Boucher, Paul Graham
No other nominations had been received in writing and the above were thereby elected. There was one vacancy left and Graeme MacGregor was proposed by Andrew Sharman, seconded by Lilian McCartney and elected.

Dr Luise Vassie, Head of Research at IOSH gave an
outline of the work of the department at HQ and especially the parameters used
for making grants to support research in the field of Occupational Safety and
Health.
