Barnabus came to North America in 1779 and served with the 43 West Dorsetshire
Foot Guards stationed at Fort Lawrence Cumberland Co. Nova Scotia. In 1796 he received a land grant of 500 acres at Little Forks Cumberland Co. Nova Scotia.
