Elsie Jane Hatfield

In Aug. 1993, I spoke to Elsie and she stated that she was born in
1897 rather than 1899 as given in the "Hatfield Book".The

Obituary-ClarkeCLARKE, Elsie J. - 97, Two Islands Road, Parrsboro,
died March 28, 1995, at home. Born in Fraserville, Cumberland Co.,
she was a daughter of the late Edson and Elizabeth (Grant) Hatfield.
Surviving are daughters, Mrs. Mary Guthreau, Aileen (Mrs. Henry
Wiita), Nellie (Mrs. Kenneth Snowdon), Parrsboro; son, Edson,
Cumberland, B.C.; sisters, Mrs. Effie Wood, Pugwash; Mrs. Evelyn
Brothers, Windsor; nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; seven
great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was
predeceased by her husband, Maxwell; son, John; sisters, Ella,
Marion; brothers, William, Irvin, Edson, Lorne; grandson, Gary.
Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Smith's Funeral Home, Parrsboro.
Funeral 2 p.m. Thursday in St. George's Anglican Church, Parrsboro,
Rev. John Swain officiating. Burial to follow in church cemetery.
Donations to any charity.
