11/07/2000 - Election Day Observation

One Nation, Divided

"The polls showed it was too close to call in the final week before the election, Gore was losing the issues war and the 'scaring-the-senior-citizens' campaign wasn't working as well as they thought. That's when Democrats unashamedly pulled out their trump card in a desperate attempt to win.

There's only one painful conclusion one can make about the tactics used to create the voting demographics on Nov. 7: The party of big government can't win without exploiting ethnic and religious divisions and racism. A victory for the forces of divisionalism. A victory for North American balkinization."
