Carlos Madariaga started his career in jazz and fusion bands, playing with well known argentine jazz musicians: Mono Fontana, Lito Epumer, Armando Alonso, Horacio Larumbe, Francisco Rivero, Edgardo Beilin, etc. He also played with bandoneon player and composer Dino Saluzzi (ECM Records). He played in the fusion band "Touch" from 1986 to 1994 and recorded two albums with it. He also did many gigs with professional singers as well as he participated in some television shows like the diva Susana Gimenez. He is one of the most important bass instructors in Argentina and nowadays he is teaching in the ITMC and also in the Popular Music School of the Argentine Musicians Union.
