EnsTren: (hi)
Edmondia: (hullo)
Edmondia: (how be?)
EnsTren: His arms tighted slightly around her waist,
"Why?" How dare he foresake her?
Edmondia: Her voice was distant. "I've sinned, pretty light.
It's been months since I performed any rites. It is only right that
he should abandon me, as I've abandoned him."
EnsTren: "Why haven't you performed any rights,
yami?"
Edmondia: "...because I've sinned," she said softly, "M'not
pure, so I can't."
EnsTren: "'S bull shit." He nudged her cheek with his
nose.
Edmondia: She shook her head. "No, s'right. For sacred
duties, the soul has to be pure. I've tried, but... I haven't
managed to cleanse myself for long enough."
EnsTren: "It's not excuse to stop trying"
Edmondia: She sighed and leaned back against him. "I'm
learning that, now..."
EnsTren: "So keep trying and get him back"
Edmondia: "...will he want me back?" She sounded
startlingly young.
EnsTren: "Why wouldn't he?"
Edmondia: "M'not very good at anything, am I?" she
questioned distantly.
EnsTren: "Not good at what you've tried so far"
Edmondia: "Can't do much," she said softly, "I don't have
many skills, pretty light."
EnsTren: A snort, "So find new ones, develope new
ones."
Edmondia: She draped her arms over his, spreading slim
fingers wide. They were very, very soft. "What? I don't know
who I am, what I'm doing... I'm just now starting to live on my
own..."
EnsTren: "You sound like the typical teenager of this
age who just graduated highschool and is heading for
college"
Edmondia: "I'm only nineteen, Seto," she said very softly.
EnsTren: "The right age."
Edmondia: "...so what do I do?"
EnsTren: "Well you can go to college if you want"
EnsTren: "Course we'd have to make sure you knew
basic highschool information"
Edmondia: "I won't leave you," she said quietly, "I don't want
to go if I have to leave you."
EnsTren: "There is a college or two in domino, they
came to temp me in. You could go there."
Edmondia: "What would that do?"
EnsTren: "You could learn new skills. You think I was
born knowing how to wire a bomb?"
Edmondia: "...I suppose no one around here needs a useless
priestess," she murmured, "Perhaps... something relating to
home...?"
EnsTren: "There's home economics so you can learn to
cook and stuff like that, but it's not a college major. And
there's electronics so you can fix lights, plumbing, and
egyptology which is a branch of acrchology"
Edmondia: She gave a low chuckle. "These hands have not
known much labor, save that of the scribes, dear light. But...
perhaps there may yet be some use in me." She snuggled
against him.
EnsTren: And he let her.
Edmondia: She was very soft.
EnsTren: She needed him, even if she didn't love him.
Edmondia: She... might love him, because she was so warm,
because she was letting him hold her, and she hated all men.
EnsTren: That ment she hated him.
Edmondia: If she hated him she wouldn't be snuggled so
close against him.
EnsTren: ...He wasn't a man, was he? He was a boy
because he didn't grow up. He never played cops and
robbers with make belive guns, he played with cards and
blocks and marble shoots and board games. He still
played with them and not with real guns.
Edmondia: If he was a man he was a very young one -
younger even than her. So she wasn't afraid of him, because he
wasn't grown up yet.
EnsTren: He never wanted to grow up.
Edmondia: He didn't have to, at least not in spirit - he'd seen
that in people older than thim.
EnsTren: In the few adults he actually liked
Edmondia: She was petting his arms absentmindedly, soft
and distracting.
EnsTren: And he was petting her back because he was
so distracted
Edmondia: Her hair smelled nice, and her skin was slightly
glazed with sweat from earlier.
EnsTren: He swollowed, it made him feel something
that he didn't quite understand, but he thought it made
him sad.
Edmondia: She was humming softly, the tune strange and
exotic, and it made him feel warm for reasons he wasn't quite
sure of.
EnsTren: He listened to it, and considered asking her to
dance to it later so he could hack the dancing games and
put it in.
Edmondia: She was pretty when she danced.
EnsTren: And happy.
Edmondia: And... different. Because she said she was
getting better.
EnsTren: He pet her hair.
Edmondia: It was silky-soft and just a little bit damp. In the
neon lights of the arcade, it seemed brighter than ever.
EnsTren: He felt stupid all of a sudden.
EnsTren: Dumber than the dog even.
Edmondia: When had she started singing?
EnsTren: He didn't want to stop her, so he didn't ask
the question cressted upon his lips that made him feel so
idiotic.
Edmondia: But she wouldn't mind his question, she did want
him to talk to her, right?
Edmondia: "Seto?"
EnsTren: "Y-yes?"
Edmondia: "Is there something wrong?" She sounded
politely puzzled.
EnsTren: "D-do you know how to dance western
style?"
Edmondia: "Western style...?"
EnsTren: He nodded.
Edmondia: "I'm not sure what you mean."
EnsTren: "You wanted to dance with me again, right?"
He lightly tugged on her left hand.
EnsTren: (silly kaibaboi, he doesn't even KNOW he's
being semi weirdly romantic)
Edmondia: (teehee, it's cute.)
Edmondia: "Yes...?" her voice was very warm now.
EnsTren: He put her hand on his shoulder, "Here, I
have to do this in stupid balls and parties. And your
right hand in mine, yes like that."
Edmondia: Her eyes were very bright. "Yes...?"
EnsTren: His left hand rested on her waist and hers on
his shoulder and chest. "Now follow my lead, step how
I step," he steped backward with his left foot to start
Edmondia: She followed his lead carefully, gracefully, a shy,
brilliant smile curving her lips.
EnsTren: And then he moved his right foot.
Edmondia: She copied him.
EnsTren: Basic tiny baby steps, in a small circle--and
then he lifted their joined hands. "This is a twirl, you
drop your hand from me and--well, let me
demonstraight," And then Seto Kaiba twirled himself
under her arm.
Edmondia: She giggled. "You're a bit tall for that, pretty
light."
EnsTren: "That's why the girl usuallly does it," he said as
he came back up and tried to twirl her.
Edmondia: It worked surprisingly well.
EnsTren: He showed her how they both could spin at
the same time if they held both hands. And how to
dip--very very very quickly.
Edmondia: She was very very warm.
EnsTren: He opted out of telling her about tango and
other sort of dances.
Edmondia: He certainly wasn't ready to see her like that.
EnsTren: So he settled on, "Most dances are based off
those basics, a certain amount of steps in a beat and in
direction with extras thrown in at certain points."
Edmondia: Her eyes sparkled. "I see. There are many of
them?" Was that eagerness in her voice?
EnsTren: "Oh yes, and other styles which only bare
some resemblance to what we just did. Much more
flashy."
Edmondia: She tossed him a grin that made his insides do
funny things. "I like flashy."
EnsTren: Maybe he ate something that had gone bad.
"I'm not qualified to teach them to you."
Edmondia: "Oh? Why not?"
EnsTren: "They are more difficult"
Edmondia: "You don't know how to do them?" She sounded
disappointed.
EnsTren: "I do," he did not like admiting to it, "But they
are more complicated, I can't teach them. And you
don't have the right shoes on."
Edmondia: "Oh," she said, frowning down at her feet. "How
unfortunate."
EnsTren: "The dances are to be seen, not done because
they are harder."
Edmondia: "Hmn." She tucked her head into the curve of his
shoulder. "I shall have to learn them, then."
EnsTren: "I'll look into finding you a teacher then"
Edmondia: "Hmn." She stroked his chest absentmindedly.
"Thank you, pretty light."
EnsTren: "You're welcome," Stop Blushing!
Edmondia: She smiled up at him. "Thank you for tonight,
pretty light."
EnsTren: "You're welcome"
Edmondia: She reached up with one pretty hand and tucked a
strand of hair behind his ear. "You make me happy, sweetling."
EnsTren: "...I do?" He sounded so surprised!
Edmondia: Her smile was so pretty. "You do, precious one.
You do."
Edmondia: (and I've gotta go for a while)
