Edmondia: sheSeth appears to be humming to herself
EnsTren: yay?
Edmondia: well, she's happy, so I guess so
Edmondia: now she's got headphones on and is bopping her
way through the mansion
Edmondia: she's very pleased with herself.
Edmondia: apparently all of her pentience went well and she's
now a priestess again
Edmondia: this appears to be her victory dance - she's all
dressed up from the rituals, so the headphones look rather odd
with the rest of her outfit
Edmondia: she's already made two of the servants walk into
walls, and yet is completely oblivious to it
Edmondia: whups, she just found Mokuba
Edmondia: she's now teaching him her victory dance
Edmondia: it works a bit better for her, but he appears to be
catching on swiftly
Edmondia: they are now dancing their way through the
mansion
Edmondia: "Sway your hip a little more out to the side - that's
it!"
Edmondia: Her smile softened. "You remind me of one of my
daughters... you look just like her. She would've been about
your age when she learned to dance like this. Hip out, then
spin."
Edmondia: ...uh oh, they just danced past Seto
Edmondia: he's choking on his coffee XD
Edmondia: "M-Mokuba! What are you doing?!"
Edmondia: "Dancing!"
Edmondia: A hip wiggle. "It's fun, niisama!"
Edmondia: Cinnamon and raven black hair tossed in perfect
unison. "You should try it!"
EnsTren:"..."
Edmondia: "Come on, niisama! Hip wiggle!" He twirled to
demonstrate. "You know you want to!"
EnsTren: "You are not going to dance like that in
public, ever."
Edmondia: Tiny fists planted on tiny hips. "Why not? It's
fun! Seth made some of the servants run into the wall!"
EnsTren: "You are not going to dance like that in public!"
Edmondia: A perfect clone of his own glare stared back at
him in miniature. "Why not?"
EnsTren: "Because, you're too young to be doing that
kind of dance."
Edmondia: "It's a victory dance, what's wrong with that?" he
complained loudly, "You laugh maniacally, and I wanna dance!"
EnsTren: "It's provocative. Seth's jiggling."
Edmondia: A raised eyebrow. "Seto, I KNOW, why do you
think I was dancing with her?"
Edmondia: Seth snickered.
EnsTren: Seto's lips thinned and his eyes widened, "You
will not dance like that in public."
Edmondia: Mokuba folded his arms behind his head and
pursed his lips, "Seto, Seto Seto... it's not like I have anything to
jiggle. You really should lighten up, you'll give yourself an
ulcer one of these days." He suddenly leaned forward, a
decidedly demonic glint in his eyes. "Unless you're jealous."
EnsTren: "You shouldn't dance like that, and jiggling
isn't the only way to appeal."
Edmondia: "I know. Seth's been teaching me." Mokuba
flashed him a sly smirk. "She knows all sorts of things."
EnsTren: Exasperated eye roll.
Edmondia: Seth chuckled. "He's got a fanclub, hikari, he does
need to know about young girls - and older ones, for that
matter."
EnsTren: "But he doesn't need to dance like that in front
of them!"
Edmondia: She rolled her eyes in good humor. "Seto, we're at
home, and we're happy. I'm not suggesting that he dance like
this in front of everyone - unless he decides to become a priest,
there'll be no need for it."
EnsTren: Eye bulge, "Hell no."
Edmondia: She blinked slowly at him, kohl-darkened lashes
narrowing in annoyance. "I believe that should be his decision,
not yours," she said sharply.
EnsTren: Her hikari was having a minor paranoia
attack and something that defied description beyond
"Agh-what-am-I-going-to-do-if-he-becomes-a-priest-w
ho-will-he-worship-will-I-have-to-donate-to-the-temple
-who-will-be-my-vice-president-worry-worrry-worry-ar
gh!" attack.
Edmondia: She blinked several times before her lips curled upwards in
amusement. "Mokuba, be a dear and go step on your brother's
foot before he gives himself a heart attack."
EnsTren: His brother was going though files and being
stuffy and fussy.
Edmondia: Mokuba reached up and tugged on his hair. "Seto, I don't want to be a priest, chill out."
EnsTren: Mokuba promptly found himself crushed and
enlaboured breathing.
Edmondia: He pried at his brother's fingers, gasping. "AIR,
Seto, AIR!"
EnsTren: Deep hugglesnuggle squish.
Edmondia: He rolled his eyes and snuggled back, exasperated
and amused. "Niisama, sometimes you're such a dummy."
EnsTren: Mokuba got wacked in the face with a pillow.
Edmondia: "It's the truth!" he complained, and took the
pillow and whacked back.
EnsTren: And lo, Kaiba Manor Pillow War One
started.
Edmondia: At first, it seemed that one Seto Kaiba was in the
lead, but that only lasted for a few minutes.
Edmondia: Mokuba and Seth had declared an alliance and
proceeded to attack him on both fronts.
Edmondia: He soon found himself backed into a corner by
two blue-eyed demons, and held his pillow up to defend
himself.
Edmondia: "I suggest you surrender, Seto," Mokuba said,
grinning evilly, "Or else we'll be forced to unleash our secret
weapon!"
Edmondia: Mokuba and Seth pounced on him.
Edmondia: "Tickle attack!"
EnsTren:A wailing kicking squirming Seto, who was
laughing but would never admit it.
Edmondia: They wiggled around and managed to get him pinned.
EnsTren: Wailing giggling and kicking lightly.
Edmondia: Mokuba sat on his stomach, triumphantly running
his nails down his niisama's sides. "Gotcha, Seto!"
EnsTren: Seto squalled and wriggled.
Edmondia: Seth shifted her grip on his shoulders to wriggle
her fingers under his armpits. "I think we win, Mokuba!"
EnsTren: "You're my yami, you're supposed to be on
my side!"
Edmondia: She reached over and tweaked Mokuba's nose.
"Sorry, but your brother's much more adorable!"
EnsTren: "I'm hurt!"
Edmondia: She leaned down and kissed his nose. "Sorry,
sweetie."
EnsTren: He frowned. A bit more lip and it would be a
cute pout!
Edmondia: She kissed his nose again. "Don't hate me,
sweetie, he gave me the Cute Look. No one can resist its
almighty force."
Edmondia: Seto didn't say what he was thinking, as the
position of her cleavage when she leaned down to kiss him
made his brain momentarily cease functioning properly.
EnsTren: He twitched as an animatronic with a glitch.
Edmondia: She reached over him and fluffed Mokuba's hair,
chuckling. Wow. Jiggle.
EnsTren: Twitch, spark, maybe he blew a fuse?
Edmondia: Her top ended a few inches above her navel. Her
bare tummy was pressed against his cheek. He was beginning
to realize why the servants had walked into the wall instead of
through the doorway.
EnsTren: His eyes started to bulge out and he quickly
closed them. Yamimine, Yamihis, was... He didn't know,
he felt a bit queasy though.
Edmondia: Okay. He could think this through. Yamihis was
currently very happy with the world. That was good. She was
playing very innocently with him and Mokuba. Also good.
Edmondia: Yamihis... was a girl.
EnsTren: But Yamihis... wasn't a girl to him, hadn't been
at least. It was changing and it was upsetting, but very
nice too.
EnsTren: He felt as if he shouldn't think it to be very
nice.
Edmondia: ...it was hard to think with Yamihis right there,
with all her fine linen and her gold jewelry and her smoky eyes
and her soft jiggly girl-bits.
EnsTren: He didn't like jiggly bits though; at least, he
liked boy bits better. And those jiggly bits were Yamimama's jiggly bits, yamimommy, yamikind,
yamicomfort, yamihis.
Edmondia: Not mommy. She'd shoved him away every time
he'd slipped and called her that. She didn't want to be his
mommy.
EnsTren: That made him cry when she did that. She
didn't want him. She took him like that and played with
him like that and then tossed him away carelessly when
she decided she didn't want him like that.
EnsTren: It made him hurt inside.
Edmondia: Yamihands were soft on his shoulders, and he
wondered if she still loved him.
EnsTren: She pushed him away, how could she? She
just needed him, the light she claimed was in him to fuel
her darkness. He believed her to an extent, that there
was light in him, but she brought it out.
EnsTren: Held him and polished him to make the good
things in him shine bright and uncover them from under
the grime on his soul. Like a mother. And after she got
that--she didn't want him anymore.
Edmondia: He'd made her cry when he was playing with
Anzu.
EnsTren: Part of him thought she deserved it. Part of
him thought that he deserved to get a kiss that didn't
make him feel horrible.
EnsTren: Part of him, that he hated, didn't care.
Edmondia: Maybe it was good that she'd been spending so
much time alone lately.
EnsTren: He still hurt.
Edmondia: She was happy now, it made him warm inside, she
was pretty and shadowy-dark now, that was good.
EnsTren: But she didn't want him. He had been right
before, he wasn't even second best--but he was happy
for Mokuba.
Edmondia: "Hey, you." Low, warm voice, made him tingle in
strange ways.
EnsTren: "Hmn?"
Edmondia: She looked down at him, her eyes thoughtful,
palms gentle against his skin. "Mokuba's gone... is there
something you want to talk about, pretty one?"
EnsTren: "No, I'm fine," he flashed a smile for her, "Just
catching my breath, you two squashed me."
Edmondia: Her eyes were serious. "You're not lying to me,
my love?"
EnsTren: "Why would I lie to you?"
Edmondia: Her full lips firmed into a thin line. "Why wouldn't
you?"
EnsTren: "What have I to hide? Besides, you two
really did squish me."
EnsTren: "But I admit I was a bit lost in thought as I
caught my breath." Another smaller smile, "I was
thinking of how well you and Mokuba get along, and
how happy you seem recently."
Edmondia: She blinked twice. "That's... sweet of you." Her
voice was soft and surprised.
EnsTren: Careful building of a lie from a lattice of truths
and smiles. He added another smile and sat up,
intending to end it before it crumbled.
Edmondia: "...I wish I could believe you," she said softly, and
pulled away from him.
EnsTren: "Mew?" He really hated it when he did that.
Really honestly despised it, he, and from what he'd seen
all hikaris, did it when surprised and confounded,
especially if by their yamis.
Edmondia: She pulled him to his feet with a dainty hand, and
her prettypretty eyes were so sad. "I wish you'd really tell me
what you meant," she whispered.
EnsTren: He didn't want her to be sad. He had hidden
from her in a small tight ball without even touching her
darkness so she could forget and be happy, no matter
how much his soul screamed for her dark.
EnsTren: And if he told she would be sadder.
Edmondia: She stood on her tiptoes and pressed a shy kiss
to his lips, all soft and warm and shadowy-dark.
EnsTren: And he twitched again, but not like he did
when he saw her jiggly bits.
Edmondia: "I'm sorry," she whispered against his lips, and oh
no oh no oh no she mustn't be crying! Nonono!
EnsTren: He touched her and held her, "What's wrong?"
he asked, even though he knew--she was sad because
her toy was broken.
Edmondia: "I wish you loved me," she said, and curled her
faced into her hands and cried harder.
EnsTren: "I do! I do! Oh never say I don't love you
please don't!" It hurt, it hurt so much to hear her say that
he didn't.
Edmondia: Oh no, oh no, she was crying so much, what was
he supposed to do?!
EnsTren: He didn't know, so he held her.
Edmondia: "Then why don't you believe me when I tell you
that I love you?" she whispered brokenly, "Why don't you
understand that?"
EnsTren: "...Because you play with me as a toy and
discard me as one as well." He was a good liar, but he
could never tell the truth well.
Edmondia: "...is that really what you think?" She gave a little
shuddering sob. "Of course it is, why wouldn't you..."
EnsTren: "I've seen no evidence against it. But I still
love you, I can't stop." He was tempted to call her
mother, so she would go away or in weakness submit to
being one to him again.
Edmondia: She shook her head sharply. "You're so stupid.
All of you are so incredibly stupid." She gave a tiny, sobbing
laugh. "You're so STUPID!"
EnsTren: He held her and whispered in his heart which
he hid from her the name he knew her as.
Edmondia: She squirmed in his arms, choking on her sobs.
"So stupid. Stupid stupid STUPID! You're not supposed to
love me, stupid, none of you are!"
EnsTren: "I don't understand Yamim-ine."
Edmondia: She squirmed more frantically, nails digging into
his arms. "STUPID!" she shrieked, "You aren't supposed to
love me, stop it, stop it! Nobody can love me, let go of me, you
can't love me!"
EnsTren: "...Is that what you really want," mother?
Edmondia: She crumpled, burying her face in her hands,
wailing softly. "Nonononoshould'veletmediewhydidn'tIdie?!"
EnsTren: "When should have you died?"
Edmondia: "IN THE DESERT LIKE THE FILTH THAT I AM!"
EnsTren: "...You are not filth." He said with finality.
He builds deceptions but tells no lies.
Edmondia: She laughed harshly, the sound jagged and ugly
and cold. "Stupid little whore," she spat, "Stupid little squirmy
thing, break his legs to keep him still, tie him down and keep him
from the shadows. Don't worry, it's not human, it doesn't matter
if you kill it, it's disgusting!"
EnsTren: He squeezed her tighttighttight and held her as
if to keep her here with him.
EnsTren: "Shadows are here whenever you ask and
love you so I think they'd answer you on the face of the
sun."
Edmondia: She wriggled and squirmed. "Stupid little
bitchwhore, tainted little thing, what's it good for? Disgusting
little boygirl, who let it out? Keep it away from the children, it'll
get them dirty."
EnsTren: "Wasn't Happi, the Nile god, both male and
female? No shame in it."
Edmondia: "They let something like that become an
apprentice? It's disgusting, they should've killed it - they're
going to marry it to the freak brat, I wonder, can it have
children? They'll be demons, we'll have to kill them too."
EnsTren: "But you get the last laugh, you're here, and
he's here, and they are all dead and forgotten, true
death, while your children live on in your heart and may
be waiting in the wings to be born."
Edmondia: She laughed again, vicious and ugly, and how
could someone so perfect hate herself so much? "They killed
me," she hissed, "You'd be wise to do the same."
EnsTren: He kissed her forehead, "Yet you live."
Edmondia: "I can't have you. I'd rather die."
EnsTren: "I'm right here."
Edmondia: She laughed again. He hated the sound. "You're
not MINE," she hissed, "So kill me and make it stop - or would
you rather I be useful to you?"
EnsTren: "Useful?" He sounded bemused and his arms
tightened of their own volition.
Edmondia: She tossed her hair wildly, lips curling in spite.
"Of course. A little extra incentive with your business dealings,
why not? You might not care for my body but the men you deal
with do. I'll even let you rip the babies out, watch them drown
in their own blood - it's only good if it's in working condition."
EnsTren: It was easy to forget that the hikaris were as
fierce as the yamis, as strong and as frightening in equal
but opposite measure. This was true too, for Seto Kaiba,
but he was hurt and injured and damaged long ago--So
he was just as vicious as his Yami at times.
EnsTren: So he bared his teeth in a feral grimace and
shook her, "Don't you dare say that! And if they even
think about you in that way I'll kill them!"
EnsTren: "You are not to think of yourself like that!
I'll kill them! I swear it I'll kill them, I'll ruin them, and kill
them as they live in sloven poverty on the street!"
Edmondia: Her lips twisted. "Stupid little hikari. Haven't you
listened? What it's good for - only that. Stupid little whore."
EnsTren: "No!" And he shook her again. "You were a good mother, a good wife, a strong person!"
Edmondia: She laughed again. "Demon-girl for
demon-babies. Married her to the freak to keep them away from
the normal people. Scared little whore, tossed around, take five minutes, she's a good fuck, why not?"
EnsTren: He bent his knees and curved his spine so he
was exactly level with her.
EnsTren: "You listen to me, right now! I want you to
listen to me and to hear me, do you understand?"
EnsTren: "If those wretched peices of filth still lived I
would draw them out on the desert with a thousand
bleeding cuts to die a slow death. Then I would petition
to Isis in person for her to make them new insoluable
bodies to place their souls in and I would push my way
onto the sun barge and shove half of each new body
down Amit's and Apep's throats barehanded!"
EnsTren: "And I'd send you many postcards of my
exploits and take pictures and and even a few videos. Definitely videos because we don't have any home
videos of us, do we?"
Edmondia: She was hanging limply in his arms. "Because you
don't want me."
EnsTren: "I love you. But you made me this way, I
cannot help it. You are as Isis, a beautiful queen, and she could make a working penis out of gold or ivory and
working hands for her son after she cut them off. You are perfect and beautiful and you made me this way."
EnsTren: "And you could make me this way because I
love you, because I was willing to do and be anything to love you and make you happy. But the clay is drying
already and is hard to move."
Edmondia: Her eyes were dull and clouded. "Stupid little
bitchwhore - breaks everything she touches, filth spreads
everywhere, shatters perfection and makes the Nile dry."
EnsTren: "Those who spoke such words were jealous."
Edmondia: Softsoft hand brushing against his cheek like silk.
"Can't be jealous of the damned."
EnsTren: "No, nay, nein, iie." He reached up and
touched her hand, holding it against his face, "Isn't this
proof of a blessing? How many find their soul's twin?"
Edmondia: "How many break their soul's twin?" she spat, "How many can take something so good and make it so
wrong?"
EnsTren: "Am I so evil to your eyes?" his own were
getting blurry.
Edmondia: "I love you more than anything," she said softly,
"You're so beautiful but all I can see is how much I hurt you.
Every time I look at you I see how much I failed you."
EnsTren: "We're the confused ones, yamimine. And
even Yugi and Atemu had a falling out." Little smile,
"Atemu tried to push me off a battlement, Yugi was
rather appalled."
Edmondia: Her eyes were so dark. "You are rather appalled
every time I try to kiss you."
Edmondia: "...I suppose it makes sense," she drawled idly,
"You wouldn't want to know where my mouth's been."
EnsTren: "No, it's not that. And I'm not appalled."
Edmondia: One delicate brow arched. "Oh, it isn't? I don't
even know who they were, pretty light."
EnsTren: "Because you made me this way, and are
trying to change me, but I'm not changed and I don't
know if I want to."
EnsTren: "It feels right to hold you, hug you, kiss you
even, on the cheek. I want to be close to you but it... hurts me when you try to make it in this new way."
Edmondia: She stared at him dully. "Even when I try to make
it better you hurt. Why don't you kill me?"
EnsTren: "It would kill me to hurt you intentionally."
Edmondia: "You want to, though. You should, everyone else
does."
EnsTren: "When have I given indication that I wanted
you dead?"
Edmondia: "Not dead. Dead is too easy. Hurt."
EnsTren: "When have I indicated that I would wish
anything of the realms of harm or hurt to befall you?"
Edmondia: "Every single time you called or thought of me as
your mother."
EnsTren: He finally dropped his eyes from hers. "I only do so in deepest respect and love. I'm sorry that I am
too flawed for your liking."
Edmondia: She seemed to sag against him, soft hands
reaching up to cradle his chin. "Oh Seto, pretty one, not like
that, it's not like that, I thought you knew, oh sweetling, look at
me honey, let me show you why it makes me hurt so much,
okay?"
EnsTren: He was afraid, afraid and ashamed to look
up at her, his careful shields with light fractures. He
upset her and saddened her, he didn't deserve to look at
her or know her thoughts.
Edmondia: Her lips brushed against his nose, his cheek, his
eyelashes, just barely touched his mouth. "Pretty precious
beloved-mine, sweet little savior, will you look for me?"
EnsTren: He didn't flinch but pressed close, turning the
brief touching of lips into a nuzzle. Sure? I
don't... I... you... you... why me?
Edmondia: She tilted her face up, accepting the affectionate
gesture. Because I love you, and I trust you, and I give myself
to you completely. Will you see me, my beloved, and still be afraid?
EnsTren: He sounded confused and she heard a little of that child in him again. But... you love Mokuba and Atemu more.
Edmondia: I love Mokuba because he holds your heart. I
love Atemu because he protected me. But you... have all of me.
EnsTren: It does not seem this way. It seems as if
others are your best beloved, most precious ones.
Edmondia: It is not so. I have given myself to you as to none
other. Perhaps it is foolishness to love like this, but I have
never been accused of sanity.
Edmondia: ...I am poison, my love, and only to you do I dare
give this much.
EnsTren: Some say I am poison too. I love you, and
if you say that I am first in your heart I will make
myself believe it for you.
Edmondia: Her lips brushed against his again, slowly, lingering. Believe it, precious one. You are the one I love
above all others.
EnsTren: He turned his head and kissed her fingertips.
For your I would believe that the waters were orange and
all the skies were brown.
Edmondia: For you I would make it so. She leaned into his touch, tucking her head beneath his chin. ...do you want to
know how I died, pretty one?
EnsTren: No yamimine, only that you live now in my
heart.
Edmondia: I'm not your mother, she said quietly. I can't be.
EnsTren: Why not?
Edmondia: She kissed him again, hard, deeply, swift enough
that it seemed she never moved at all.
EnsTren: And he shook under it and wept. Why have
you made me this way but wish to have me in
another?
Edmondia: And then the palace was crumbling around her
and her dress was stained with her own blood, and the cries
around her were deafening and she stumbled again, coughing
up blood - still? Scrambling fingers found the Rod, wrapped
around it - she was the Darkness' daughter, she would not go
quietly, not while some of her children still lived.
The tiny girl clutched to her busom woke with a scream as the
wall fell, shattering one baby-soft arm, and she stared in numb
horror as her child wailed.
Louder, louder, the enemy tore through the palace, she could
feel them coming closer, and knew what they would do once
they came upon her precious baby.
"M-mama?" she whimpered, tears shining in her beautiful blue
eyes, "Mama?"
"Mama loves you, baby," she whispered through her tears,
"Close your eyes now, daddy's waiting to see you, close your
eyes..."
She did.
Edmondia: And Seth pressed the blade to her baby's flesh
and ripped her throat open.
Her daughter was dead in an instant, and she couldn't think,
she couldn't breathe, oh gods she'd killed her baby her
daughter her -
And then the enemy was upon her, and she had nothing left to
live for, so she threw her head and hands to the heavens and
let the Darkness tear everything away.
EnsTren: ...Thou proud warrior. How could I not
love you for that? How could any wish for a better mother?
EnsTren: I see glory in you and I see love in you and
I see something that I can only pray that is in myself.
Edmondia: She screamed and sobbed against his neck,
clinging to him desperately, wailing in anguish that had no
shape nor words to frame it.
EnsTren: And he held her and cradled her and
whispered love and gave her light.
Edmondia: She fell asleep, hours later, in his arms.
